Take, for example, a recent California trial that was literally a "nut case" as it involved a team of criminals who were, well, actually stealing nuts, and apparently enough nuts to equal millions of dollars. According to numerous media outlets, a major California ring of nut thieves was recently brought to justice when one of the defendants finally cracked and fessed up.
Felony convictions were handed down along with jail sentences. It wasn't stated if the nutjobs would get to watch the Nutcracker in prison during the holidays.
The nutty burglars were observed loading box after box of nuts into a truck, totaling close to 150,000 thousand pounds of almonds and walnuts. If you ask me, that's crazy!
