The Miami Dolphins and GE Security Team Up

28 January, 2009

The Miami Dolphins of the National Football League are working with GE Security and Ingersoll-Rand Security Technologies Integrated Solutions for IP video surveillance, which will be new at the Dolphin Stadium. Not only will this protect the game-goers, and enhance their game-day experience, but also it will be beneficial for playoff games and the major Bowl Championship Series game and other events held at the stadium.

The Senior Direct of Marketing and Communications for the Miami Dolphins, George Torres, said “The GE Security video system provides a clear view of nearly every seat in the house, so stadium security personnel can respond more effectively to reports of potential disruptions, and fans can play an important role in making sure their game-day experience is the best it can be.” He added, “As a result, we’re seeing fewer conduct issues, which improves safety and makes games more enjoyable for fans overall.”

Adding to this viewpoint, the GE Security Vertical Sales Leader of Sports and Entertainment, Larry Legere, stated, “The Dolphins are committed to creating a positive experience for fans, and our ongoing partnership with them is an extension of that.” He continued, “The video surveillance installation is the first phase of a multi-phase project designed to help the stadium efficiently manage access control, video, and fire detection in and around the facility.”

Ingersoll-Rand Security Technologies Integrated Solutions shares this opinion, as Bob Lewis, the Southeast Regional Director, says, “We worked with Dolphin Stadium to audit the current system and install the best possible video system to meet their needs and high standards.” He adds, “GE Security’s IP solution delivers outstanding image quality and monitoring capabilities required to efficiently manage Dolphin Stadium events.”
