GE Security Gets TSA Certified

Florida-based GE Security announced that its explosives trace-detection equipment has passed the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) certification test. GE Security’s Itemiser DX, the latest in threat detection products, has met TSA certification requirements. This state-of-the-art technology is lightweight, yet sophisticated enough to detect dangerous explosive devices.

According to officials, passing the TSA certification test is a rigorous task that only two threat detectors have completed in the past. The Itemiser DX was approved in the Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Laboratory. "We are very pleased that the Itemiser DX is the latest detector to receive certification from the Transportation Security Administration," Dennis Cooke, GE Security Homeland Protection president, said. "As one of only two companies certified with this type of product, it is a true testament of GE Security's commitment to developing innovative solutions that meet the demands of various industries and governments to ensure the safety and security of people."
